Recycling is not broken, but can use some help. This panel will discuss strategies for reducing contamination and using community-scale approaches for recyclables processing. The National Recycling Calendar is a collaborative outreach program to curb the national average contamination rate to 10% by 2030. The Recycling Cornucopia Project provides pro bono assistance to civic and environmental organizations, local government and small businesses which are striving to overcome barriers to Zero Waste policies, programs and enterprises.
