Frequently Asked Questions

Call For Speakers

Thank you for your interest in speaking. The call for speakers ended June 27.

Registration Details

Each registration is for the named individual and may not be “shared” between multiple people.

Volunteers receive a free pass for each conference day they work and a 50% discount if they choose to register for a second day. Students and Advocates must contact the office to request a discount. Group discounts are available for groups of 6 or more.

Zero Waste International Alliance (ZWIA) Affiliates – 70+ organizations from around the world, are listed here.

Registration Processor

The conference again has partnered with the Northern California Recycling Association (NCRA) to manage registrations. When you click on the registration links, you will connect to a page on a NCRA website. You may need to create an account and select a password.

Prefer to Pay by Check?
Need an Invoice or W-9?

Individuals should register and select pay by check. An invoice is automatically generated.

Groups should send a note to the office with specifics – organization name, contact person with contact details and number of registrations by type. We will send an invoice with instructions. If you need to sign us up as a vendor, here is the NCRA W-9 with mailing address and EIN. Payment must be received in our offices by mid November, 2022 to ensure registration is complete and conference credentials are sent before the event starts.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. That said, all sponsors and attendees receive the Conference Directory which lists all registrants that did not opt-out on registration. So if you do not want your email address shared, be sure to opt-out.

Refunds

Registrants may request a refund less a 20% processing fee up until October 15, 2022. After that date, refunds will available until November 15, 2022 less a 50% processing fee. No refunds will be offered for cancellations after November 15, 2022. You may transfer your registration to an associate at anytime before the conference starts.

Platform, Slides and Recording

We are using Zoom for the entire conference. Keynote and plenary presentations will be recorded and available for on-demand playback by registrants a few weeks after the event. Here are the 2021 and 2020 recordings.

Accessing the Conference

To ensure the best conference experience, plan to visit the 2022 Attendee Checklist when it is published. Until then here is 2021 Attendee Checklist for your reference.

The main conference Zoom link and password can be found:

  1. On Registration: Look for it In your confirmation email: Registration Confirmation: National Zero Waste Conference, which was sent automatically on registration.
  2. During Conference Week: A series of emails entitled National Zero Waste Conference Access, will be sent the Monday before the conference and re-sent before each conference day. Each will include the Live Program link and password.

Once it is published in November, the Live Program will make it easy to travel from the Main Stage to the Concurrent Sessions and back again. From there, you can also access the speakers and session details. We suggest you leave the tab open so that you do not need to keep re-entering the password.
