Zero Waste at Higher Learning Institutions
2021, December 9 • 10:15am – 10:45am – Track D
Zero Waste research in higher education can provide valuable information to make informed decisions on Zero Waste policies, programs, and infrastructure within communities. Join this session to hear from two PhD candidates, one in Florida and one in California. We’ll hear about a mixed-method research analyzing factors and variables that lend to more waste diversion and minimization on college campuses and learn about a “living laboratory” where participatory development tests out new policies, infrastructure, and practices. This Zero Waste Lab supports undergraduate projects conducting research on Zero Waste.
