Young Grguras

Young started with PLAN right after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019. While on campus, they organized the fossil fuel divestment campaign, and worked for the Student Office of Sustainability. Young’s involvement with The People over Petro Co. & the fight to resist the petrochemical expansion of the Ohio River Valley led to their cross over from the climate change movement to the Zero Waste movement. While they reside in Pittsburgh, their work focuses on eliminating single use plastic in higher education all across the US. They are also the manager of their local farmers market, and love to grow potatoes in the backyard.
