We know that plastic kills (and not only wildlife). Petroleum and plastics production and incineration sites impact workers and residents living near the fenceline. Ingestion and inhalation of microplastics have suspected carcinogenic, developmental, or endocrine-disrupting impacts. We have gathered international experts in plastic pollution to provide their insights on strategies for preventing plastic pollution at the source and addressing “trash blindness” in our society.
