Join this panel of zero waste enthusiasts working material by material to close the loop for the Napa wine industry. Martin R. Reyes, a credentialed Master of Wine and a respected figure in the wine trade, will lead a lively discussion with a winemaker (Frogs ‘Leap Winery), a barrel supplier, and a distributor to share the story about how a small group of likeminded individuals formed what became the Napa Zero Waste Collective. They will share some of their accomplishments to date, as well as lessons and insights they’ve learned along the way. Although the journey is just starting, the process is moving quickly through monthly meetings, fueled by a collaborative spirit and enthusiastic partners. The Napa Valley provides a unique opportunity to create a zero waste economy quickly – one industry, similar packaging, close to resources, and motivation to close the loop.
