Robin Ennis

Robin Ennis retired from Montgomery County, MD in 2020 after 13 years as the Chief of Solid Waste and Recycling Collection. Before this role, she served as the Director of Collections, Customer Service, Recycling, and Media Arts for the Palm Beach County Solid Waste Authority, where her team won an Emmy Award for their weekly television show, eTV.

Ennis has been an active member of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) for 25 years. SWANA represents 10,000 professionals dedicated to preserving our environment and human health by transforming waste into resources. She has held positions as Vice President and President of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter and earned six certifications. As a SWANA-certified faculty member, she teaches five courses: Manager of Landfill Operations, Managing Municipal Solid Waste Collection Systems, Managing Integrated Solid Waste Management Systems, Managing Recycling Systems, and Zero Waste Principles and Practices.
