Stacy Savage

Stacy Savage is a powerhouse in zero waste consulting, corporate sustainability, and circular economy strategies. Known as the Texas Trash Talker, she has spent over 22 years revolutionizing waste reduction, partnering with major brands like Dell, Apple, AT&T, Nestlé, Kohler, Boston University, and the City of Austin to slash waste and boost sustainability.

From 2003-2012, Stacy led a door-to-door, environmental nonprofit group. Her field and policy work helped pass two statewide producer take-back laws for e-waste recycling and four residential and business recycling ordinances in Austin, setting new standards for responsible waste management.

In 2013, she founded Zero Waste Strategies, a consulting firm helping businesses integrate zero waste principles into operations while cutting costs. She’s an expert in large-scale waste audits, corporate training, and sustainability marketing, guiding organizations toward holistic and impactful solutions.

As a TRUE Advisor and board member of the State of Texas Alliance for Recycling, Stacy is a sought-after speaker at conferences like Resource Recycling and TxSWANA, where she shares insights on food waste diversion, corporate sustainability, and zero waste best practices.

Stacy has also given expert interviews with Forbes, CNBC, The Weather Channel, American Recycler Magazine, and the Sustainable Packaging Podcast, among others.

Through her online Zero Waste Business Academy, she empowers business owners/managers to launch their own zero waste programs and trains sustainability professionals to start their own consulting firms.

Stacy lives near Austin, running her company alongside her husband and Vice President, Jon, with their Chief Cuddle Officer, Tex, the orange tabby cat.
