Marissa Major

Marissa Major is a Waste Reduction Consultant with CET, where she has helped to strengthen dozens of community driven waste reduction and diversion initiatives across the county. Her background spans municipal government- where she played a key part in implementing a citywide composting service- and state government- where she supported the distribution of grant funding to accelerate waste diversion projects. A generalist and continuous learner at heart, her technical knowledge includes waste reduction strategies, recycling and composting operations, community engagement, and behavior change. Today, her work centers on providing technical guidance and creative problem‑solving to businesses and institutions looking to reduce their food waste.
