Emin Israfil is the founder and CEO of Rubbish, a San Francisco-based technology company focused on building practical tools to improve waste management with AI and data. Recognized by organizations including NASA, Apple, and Accenture, Rubbish works with municipalities and environmental organizations across America to make waste operations more efficient.

As of 2026, more than 40 cities use Rubbish software. The company specializes in illegal dumping, household hazardous waste (HHW) operations, extended producer responsibility (EPR) data, and custom waste characterization, working with organizations including PaintCare and the Mattress Recycling Council.Since 2017, Emin has worked to address the challenges of waste management, from improving sorting and identifying harmful materials to creating technology that automates compliance and field data collection.
