Kelly Jaramillo

Kelly Jaramillo has served as the Forest Service Region 3 (Arizona and New Mexico) Sustainable Operations Program Lead for the past 6 years. She has supported the National Greening Fire Team (GFT) for the past four years and currently serves as Chairperson. She has helped to transition this team from its grassroots beginnings to a chartered entity under Forest Service Washington Office Fire & Aviation Management. The 99-person, interagency Greening Fire Team Member and Ambassador network works to integrate sustainability best management practices in incident management. The team’s keystone deliverable over the past three years has been their first-of-its-kind, multi-geographic area Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for on-site incident recycling services. You can learn more about the GFT at: https://www.fs.usda.gov/managing-land/fire/sustainable-ops. Kelly received her Master of Science degree in environmental technology management from Arizona State University and her Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering and international studies from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, MA.
