Cory Tatarzyn

With the creation of General Motor’s Zero Waste program, GM has committed to diverting greater than 90% of global operational waste from landfills and thermal processing facilities by 2025. Leading this initiative is Cory Tatarzyn, Global Zero Waste SME. Through the work of Cory and the Zero Waste team, GM has achieved this target 3 years ahead of schedule with a 2022 Zero Waste performance of 91.8%. Cory holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental & Ecological Engineering from Purdue University. His main focuses are circularity and integrating life cycle assessment (LCA) technologies within the automotive industry to design out waste from manufacturing processes. He is based in Denver, Colorado, and is an avid rock climber and cyclist.
