Connor Hoemann

Connor Hoemann is a Toward Zero Waste Program Assistant at Sustainable Connections in Bellingham, WA. He holds a degree in Environmental Science from Whittier College and is committed to waste reduction, resource recovery, and community-driven sustainability. In his role, Connor provides technical assistance and outreach to local businesses, helping them comply with Bellingham’s single-use plastic ban. He also conducts waste assessments for local businesses to improve waste management practices and develops resources to help contractors and waste facilities reduce construction and demolition waste. Additionally, he is an author of “Assessing meso-, micro-, and nanoplastic pollution in Los Angeles County estuaries,” published in the Marine Pollution Bulletin.
