Bart Miller

Bart is the EH&S leader for MDRR with over 30 years of expertise in the recycling and waste management, precious metal and aggregate mining, asphalt and Ready-Mix concrete production, utility construction, telecommunications, and environmental consulting industries. He is responsible for developing MDRR’s vision in safety excellence, managing MDRR’s day-to-day EH&S program compliance, influencing safe decisions at all levels within the organization, and celebrating continued SIF elimination and year-over-year reductions in injuries and crashes.

Bart is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Utility Safety Administrator (CUSA), Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS), and a former Registered Environmental Assessor II (REA II) with the CA DTSC who is highly qualified in EH&S and holds a master’s certification in Project Management and bachelor’s degrees in both the Biology and Geology.

Prior to leading EH&S with several US-based corporations, Bart worked for 4 years in Indonesia performing mineral exploration and mine site development where he gained a diverse range of skills including project management, logistics, and drilling and defining gold and diamond deposits in sedimentary and hard rock geological environments.

Being a supporter of education in the local community, Bart is a Chief Judge at the ISEF-affiliated Contra Costa Science Fair and is responsible for identifying the best and brightest student projects in the Environmental Sciences category.
