Hailing originally from Georgia, Alexis Young (she/her) has been a broadcast reporter for the Emmy® award-winning public affairs show New York NOW. Prior to this, she was an investigative journalist at The Howard Center for Investigative Journalism; founder, host, and engineer of the podcast A Pinch of Perspective; and worked at Cronkite News in Arizona as a production engineer, a TV graphics specialist, a broadcast and audio reporter, as well as a video editor. Young received a master’s degree in Mass Communication at Arizona State University. She is based in New Orleans, Louisiana, and leads People over Plastic’s coverage of petrochemical stories in the Gulf South.
