What ARE the best approaches and tools to move the needle at educational institutions, and harness the enthusiasm and power of people aged 5 – 25? From early K-8 education to reduce waste, promote responsible resource use, and decrease exposure to toxins, to initiating student participation, instituting repair fairs, tool libraries, compost and move-out programs for high school and higher education entities, the needle IS moving in the right direction. Panelists will draw on national experience with campuses from across the country to highlight innovative ideas to equip students to change behavior, campuses, and the environment, while making a case for cost-savings and business case.
