As a nature enthusiast, Susanne advocates for clean energy, composting, and native landscapes at the local, state, and federal levels. A retired biochemist, she previously performed research and scientific outreach in the fields of parasitology, cancer biology and non-nutritive sweeteners. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry and certificates in Native Plants and Sustainable Landscape Design.
