Aneshai Smith is a mission-driven founder and social impact entrepreneur dedicated to solving systemic issues around food waste, food insecurity, and small business sustainability. She is the founder of GO See The City, a rising tech platform tackling the dual challenges of food waste and hunger through an AI-powered compliance system called Hariet.AI. It’s a two-sided platform that helps restaurants sell surplus food to consumers at a discount, as well as also enable large venues such as stadiums, arenas, etc to divert surplus food to nonprofits. It’s a real-time tracking dashboard that also empowers municipalities to drive measurable, environmental and social impact to businesses in their cities.
Aneshai launched GO See The City at the end of 2023. Under her leadership, GO See The City has been featured in Inc. Magazine, and participated in premier accelarators such as Techstars, and achieved many other accomplishments. The platform was built to align with USDA and EPA goals of cutting food waste by 50% by 2030, and continues to expand with support from public and private sector partners.
As a solo founder, Aneshai’s resilience, innovation, and equity-centered approach set her apart and drives her in making an impact in food and security.
