I have been working in the environmental and public health non-profit sector for 11 years. My passion is environmental issues and justice. I grew up living on the Connecticut coast of Long Island Sound watching my father fish in those waters. As I grew to understand environmental degradation from pollution, the health impacts, and the effects of climate change, I knew that my life’s work would be protecting our environment.
I started my environmental journey canvassing in Connecticut to pass laws on a variety of issues. I helped to organize residents in passing the first plastic bag ban east of the Mississippi in Westport, CT. My love of the ocean drew me to Rhode Island 9 years ago, where I continued to work on policy and became the Providence Canvass Director for Clean Water Action. In June of 2023 I became the New England Zero Waste Organizer for Clean Water’s ReThink Disposable program working with schools, restaurants, institutions, and event spaces to reduce single-use disposable food ware. I am grateful to have a career that is my passion and to work alongside other activists.
