Since 2019, Arminda Valles-Hall has set the strategic direction for the certification and education functions of the Solid Waste Association of North America. SWANA represents 10,000 professionals dedicated to preserving our environment and human health by transforming waste into resources.
With more than 30 years of experience in professional societies and trade associations, Valles-Hall has leveraged the expertise of her members to advance organizational goals and build programs that meet industry needs. Among her many accomplishments, she has redeveloped certification programs, built robust online programs, enhanced learning technology systems, and developed and launched a two-year degree program in collaboration with a New Jersey community college to cultivate the next generation of electronic security professionals.
A native Californian, Valles-Hall attended the University of California, Santa Barbara. She currently resides in Alexandria, VA with her husband and son.
