David Krueger has over 30 years of experience in the solid waste and recycling industry. He has worked for local governments, consulting firms, a private transfer station, and a college recycling program.
For the past 13 years David has managed the solid waste and recycling programs for the City of San Ramon, California, which recently implemented organics recycling services for nearly all residential and commercial customers including multi-family dwellings. David worked as a consultant for R.W. Beck and Associates and HF&H Consultants, helping local governments to design and evaluate recycling programs, conducting waste characterization studies and writing strategic plans, franchise agreements, city ordinances, and RFPs for solid waste and recycling services. David was the Recycling Manager at Waste Management’s Davis St. Transfer Station in San Leandro, California for five years, supervising the materials recovery facility and organics processing operation. David worked for the City of San Jose, California for nine years designing and managing innovative recycling programs. While a student at Occidental College in Los Angeles, David started their first campus-wide recycling program.
David is currently the President of the Northern California Recycling Association (NCRA). He has also served on the board of directors of the California Resource Recovery Association (CRRA) and was appointed to the Alameda County Source Reduction and Recycling Board (Stopwaste).
