David Keeling currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Recycling Coalition (NRC). He served as the President of the NRC from April 2018 until October 2020. He also currently serves as the Chair of the Wisconsin Council on Recycling which is a governor appointed citizen advisory board on recycling. Mr. Keeling has been a career long member of every viable state recycling organization in the country and continues to be a member of multiple state recycling organizations across the country. He serves as a two-term board member of the Southeast Recycling Development Council and a four- term board member of the Illinois Recycling Association.
Mr. Keeling is the former Director, Recycling for the Steel Recycling Institute (SRI), a business unit of American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). Mr. Keeling had been with the AISI/SRI in various positions with ever increasing responsibilities and territory since 1990. During his tenure with the AISI, he served as an advisory member for the Northeast Recycling Council and the Toxic in Packaging Clearinghouse. He served as Vice Chair of the Cooperative Training and Recycling Assistance, a cooperative marketing organization for rural communities which is now part of Keep Texas Beautiful. He also served two terms on the board of directors for the Recycling Association of Minnesota.
